STYLING
Enhancing aesthetics- changes in paint, furniture, lighting and décor. I have also styled cabinet tops, and retail windows and consulted in commercial space projects.
THE INITIAL STEPS
Typically, clients have general feelings about their vision but they are struggling to clearly define it or finish the space. The first step to my process is establishing needs, goals and preferences before they can be brought to life. It is essential for the foundation of the style to be grounded in a consistent color palette.
MIIMALISM THAT FLIRTS WITH MAXIMALISM
Existing spaces need cleared of the nonessential and items that contradict the goals.
Since I prefer minimalist spaces that flirt with maximalism, I like to incorporate unique art, architecture, and organic materials. Depending on client preferences, vintage pieces can be layered in to help mature the overall style.
I want to achieve a final aesthetic that has friction and interest, but still feels comforting and cohesive. I believe the process for a well curated space with moderate depth requires balancing the right amount of fun and discipline.
RESULTS
The finished space is aesthetically elevated with the owner’s needs and preferences in mind. I style spaces so they are an extension of the sophisticated personalities of those that live, work, or play there.
